The Filipino Catholic Community in Linz celebrated its 20th anniversary with a joyful and faith-filled gathering that honored two decades of unity, worship, and cultural pride. The celebration brought together members of the community, both longtime and new, as well as special guests from the Diocese of Linz.
Fr. Ely Dalanon of the Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy joined the celebration and presided over the Thanksgiving Mass. His message reflected on the journey of the Filipino Catholic Community, highlighting their enduring faith and the importance of nurturing spiritual and cultural identity, especially while living abroad.
Also present was Fr. Ernest Szabó, Teamleiter der fremdsprachigen Seelsorge in der Diözese Linz, who offered words of encouragement and support on behalf of the Diocese. His presence signaled the strong relationship between the local Church and the Filipino community, recognizing their contribution to the spiritual life of Linz.

The event featured vibrant cultural presentations by members of the community. Traditional dances, songs, and performances showcased the richness of Filipino heritage and added a festive spirit to the occasion. The celebration was not only a moment of thanksgiving but also an expression of Filipino pride and solidarity.
Over the past 20 years, the Filipino Catholic Community in Linz has grown into a strong and active group, grounded in faith and fellowship. As they mark this important milestone, the community looks forward to continuing its mission—celebrating their faith, culture, and shared journey as one family in Christ.
